Romantini is an Indonesian drama film released on September 5, 2013 directed by Monty Tiwa and starring Ashanty and Aurel.
Sinopsis
Kartini is a single organ singer who is often considered to be an invited event in her village. When married to Rahman, an inter-city bus driver, Kartini was willing to live in the capital city along with her husband. Full of dreams and promises of a better life, Kartini has a million hopes in Jakarta.
Fourteen years passed, the dream of a better life never arrived. Rahman, now unemployed, rarely returns home. Pelangi, their only daughter, grows into an introverted and anti-social teenage girl. And Kartini had to work as a song guide at a karaoke club while also receiving laundry fees for the residents of the flat where she contracted.
When returning home, Rahman could only undermine Kartini for money. And one time, Rahman stole his wife's money which was supposed to be used to pay rent for a motorbike, which according to Rahman would use motorcycle taxi.
Kartini's life became even more difficult. And the dreams promised by Rahman a dozen years ago, have now been completely forgotten. In the midst of Kartini's confusion in dealing with life's problems that befell her, she was surprised to find that Pelangi had a hidden talent, which is making songs. Apparently Kartini's artistic talent descended on her daughter.
And in the midst of an impossible situation and a broken body condition, Kartini had to fight once again to save her daughter's dream. Romantini is a story about the struggle of a woman, a wife and a mother in creating a happy life for her family, in the midst of the harsh life of the capital city.
