Diva Pop Indonesia , Krisdayanti

Krisdayanti was born on March 24, 1975 in Batu, East Java, to a couple from Trenggono (father) and Rachma Widadiningsih (mother). According to the father, the name comes from Javanese language, kris, which means heirloom and power, which means strength, so Krisdayanti is a heritage that has power. He has an older sister, Yuni Shara, who is also a singer, and a younger sister with a different father, Kartika Sari. Krisdayanti grew up in a poor family and her parents divorced when she was only two years old. Because they did not have a steady income, they and their family stayed at Krisdayanti's grandmother's house until she was in the third grade of elementary school.

Krisdayanti art blood obtained from his father who is a painter and keroncong artist. All families from his mother's side are also adept at singing, except his own mother. Some Krisdayanti's uncles became church singers and some sang in orchestras in their villages. Together with his brother, Yuni, Krisdayanti has been happy to perform singing and dancing since childhood. Because of his agility when singing, people in his village called Krisdayanti like an Indian puppet. He also often won various singing competitions at that time.

In 1984, Krisdayanti brought her mother to move to Jakarta with a capital of Rp 350,000 from the joint venture. They then rented a row house - a one room house with no rooms - in a narrow alley in Tebet. To finance their lives in Jakarta, her mother works in a salon plus some side jobs. Krisdayanti then entered into the Red and White Studio led by Toto Sugiarno. From the studio Krisdayanti got many opportunities to sing. He played in the children's film Megaloman when he was nine years old and received his first honor of Rp. 15,000. When he was 12 years old, Krisdayanti made a solo album titled Ordinary with a small record company called Gembala Record. However, the first album of his career failed on the market.

Krisdayanti Street in the world of singing began to open when he met with musician James F. Sundah who is an alumni of his school, SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta. Krisdayanti was invited by James to record two of his songs on the compilation album The Slow Collections (1990), as well as a duet on the song "Story of Our Love" on the film theme album Notes on Si Emon (1991). James also asked him to attend a festival or singing competition. In 1991, Krisdayanti won one episode of Cipta Pesona Bintang, a talent search event at RCTI. He had the opportunity to record a single titled "Come and Go" for the Cipta Pesona Bintang compilation album. In the same year, Krisdayanti also participated in the selection of the famous teenage model GADIS Cover. Despite being inferior, he managed to appear as one of the finalists in the contest.
